The Lowde Music Trust was established in February 2011 following the death of Keith Lowde.
Keith had been a leading figure on the business side of the music industry and his sudden death in a tragic accident resulted in a collective desire by his family, friends, and colleagues, to create a lasting legacy in his name.
Keith’s passion had always been to help and enable other people to achieve and succeed. He cared deeply about the creative side of the performing arts, and was instrumental in helping people protect their rights, and realise their potential.
For the last eight years of Keith’s life he had been Head of the Business School at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. He had helped to grow the importance of the school and its relevance to the contemporary music industry.
Keith’s work made a real difference to hundreds of students lives and now The Lowde Music Trust will continue this work through a series of awards, and mentoring programmes for talented music students, creative entrepreneurs and young people across the country, while continuing to provide assistance and aid to seriously ill children through music therapy.
